The Ride

The Ride
As we travel down Interstate 10 toward San Antonio from Houston, we could see the beautiful Bluebonnets, signifying the state’s flower, The Bitter Weeds lying like a yellow cloud that just settles on the earth, and the red Gaillardias, coating the countryside with its red tint, in order to brighten the traveler’s day.

What a tribute to God in his creative glory lying along side of the heavily traveled highway.

How, magnificent was the view from the window that day in April. Traveling with friends make the ride even more relaxing.

Just like the Lilly’s of the Fields Jesus talked about when he said, “Consider the Lilly’s of the field how the toil not neither do they spin, yet Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”  Jesus knew the significance of God’s creation and we got just a glimpse into that beauty.

King Solomon himself expressed, “To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven: ….a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted…. a time to get and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to cast away.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 and 6 Amplified Bible)

This day happen to be, a time to “get” what God created in all his glory and a time to “keep,” the remembrance of such beauty.

We did not just experience the beauty of the flowers, but the beauty of friendship and sharing such beauty with good friends and good fellowship.
